I don't know if you've heard of Maverick Money Makers. I didn't know too much about them, and I was interested to learn what they were about. So I read a few reviews about this system. Apparently, the guy who came up with it is a ClickBank affiliate seller who claims to have become a millionaire through the internet. Anyway, what interested me about them is how they went about choosing what products to promote.
Well, I learned that they have two seemingly contradictory factors for making that decision.
The first thing they tell you to do is to look for the most recently released products. They point out that when a product is fresh in the market, you're not likely to bump into too much competition at the get-go. So you get a head start in making commissions off that product. By the time the product starts getting known, you'll already have earned from it. There, of course, is more of a risk element in choosing a really new product because it hasn't been around long enough to have a track record. So you'll have to use some judgment in choosing these new ones.
The second criterion in the Maverick Money Makers System of selecting ClickBank products is track record. They tell you to look for products that have proven to be winners in the marketplace. That way all the effort you put into promoting the product pays off in commissions. If you pick a product with no track record, you're taking the risk of expending a lot of time and effort to promote a product only to learn belatedly that it's a loser.
Now these two pieces of advice seem highly contradictory. On the one hand, they tell you to look for novel items while on the other hand they advise you to market products that have a good track record. I guess that just tells me I need to have a good mix of new products which have the potential of being breakout sellers as well as some of the tried and true "blue chip" products. Hmmm. I rather like that advice. The more I think about it, the more it makes sense.
